Today, in a rainy day, I decided to walk up to the District of Liparlati.
Although many people consider the district only for its cemetery, I find it an interesting place full of history, beautiful spots and, of course, stillness.
During the World War II lots of german artists escaped here, hiding into abandoned villas. When I was young, every time I walked up the steps to go to the Cemetery, I imagined about the life of those artists in a fishing village: how they lived, what they thought about Positano, how was life in a sort of exile… away from home.
Lots of things have changed here but you can still feel their souls and understand that they fell in love with this fishing village which they accepted as their homeland.
